Troop 184 will be collecting money and make will make payment to council. Make check's payable to Troop 184 with Jambo payment in the memo block.

The March payment will be adjusted based on actual vs budgeted expenses.

» Withdrawals
Scouts paying and electing to withdraw will NOT receive a direct refund from council. You must find someone to take their place AND make financial
arrangements with that scout to obtain compensation for money that they have paid. Council will not be involved in making and/or transferring account money.

Outstanding Items



Scouts,
The following list of items is either in progress or need to be addressed.

1. Patrol Flags - In progress
Cyclones, Coasters and Kraken - Have them completed at the next meeting, March 8th.  TBD Patrol, have your patrol flag completed by March 28.

2. Gateway - In progress
Design voted on and approved. Begin developing ways to build it. Build plans finalized at March 8 meeting. Schedule a build date at March 8 meeting and complete by March 28th

3. Picnic tables - Not started
Search for plans online for picnic tables that can be made, disassembled and transported. Completion goal April 18th

4. Chuck wagons - Not started
We have one and access to two more. We may need to build / buy a fourth. Completion goal April 18th, for shakedown.

Swim Night / Swim Testing


Attendance at this swim night is mandatory - plan accordingly. We will complete all swim test requirements for the National Jamboree. Swim testing is mandatory for all water related activities at the Jamboree.

Medical Forms Are Due
The below link outlines the medical form procedures for the 2010 Jamboree. I must have these forms in my hands no later than February 15 2010. 


If your medical insurance does not allow for a physical in the near future and your are faced with paying "full fare" for a physical, be advised - you can take your form and go to a CVS Minute Clinic and obtain a physical for just $30.00

Shakedown Weekend

We will be setting up and camping Jamboree style April 23-25, 2010. Attendance is mandatory. If you donot attend shakedown weekend, you can not attend the Jamboree. More details in the future.

Uniforms

Travel
Full, complete Class A

Activity
Boy Scout shirt, IE: summer camp, troop class B, a Scout reservation shirt, etc.  BSA pants or shorts, green scout socks or white scout socks with the green and red top.

No shirts with offensive or negative connotations.

Medicals

Complete your medical form AFTER August 10, 2009. Medicals are good for one year and the Jambo medical form must be valid through the end of Jambo - August 4, 2010. It can not expire during Jambo or it will be considered invalid at check-in and you can not stay.

Physical Conditioning

National is enforcing the BMI index on the new ABC form.  If you are beyond or near the maximum BMI you ought to initiate lifestyle changes now in order to avoid disappointment
